PESHAWAR: Peshawar High Court (PHC) has sought report from IG Police KP on the petition filed by transgender against the police. The petition was heard by Justice Syed Arshid Ali and Justice Fahim Wali Friday. The court sought report from IG KP within 14 days. The counsel for the petitioner informed the court police attitude with the transgender people from the province is not correct. Eunuchs too are citizens of this country. They have basic rights too. Police is harassing the transgender unduly. The counsel told the court eunuchs of Peshawar and Swabi are being expelled from their districts. Transgender people are being murdered and police have failed to provide protection. PHC while summoning report from IG police KP adjourned the hearing of the case. Online
