To commemorate the Chinese Lunar New Year, a two week long fantastic photo exhibition was arranged at China Window, situated in a posh area of the historic city of Peshawar. The photos depicting China’s socio-economic progress over the past four decades, ever-since the Chinese Open Door Policy to the outside world had been introduced were displayed at the exhibition.
The Chine Window – commonly known as the Chinese Cultural Center is working as welfare body in collaboration with the Islamabad based Chinese Embassy is actively engaged in strengthening people to people level contacts between both the countries.
At the concluding ceremony held on Tuesday, the Provincial Minister for Information Shaukat Yousafzai was the chief guest who spoke high of the friendship between Pakistan and the Peoples Republic of China. It is worth to mention here that the event was inaugurated by the Speaker provincial assembly, Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani.
Shaukat Yousafzai while highlighting the historical prospects of the Pak China Friendship said, “we are enjoying all-weather and time-tested friendly relations with our Chinese friends”. The longstanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries, he said, bears unique features on many counts and we as nation acknowledge our achievements. The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, he said is also trying its best to fully make the various ongoing initiatives under CPEC beneficial for the coming generations as well.
While appreciating the ambitious initiatives of the China Window, the provincial minister assured due support and cooperation on part of the provincial government in successfully carrying forward its activities. He also appreciated the spirit and hard work of the staff of the China Window. He also went round the exhibition and took keen interest in its various aspects. Earlier on arrival at the China Window, its founder Amjad Aziz Malik who is a senior journalist of the country highlighted various aspects of the working of China Window with special focus on its aims and objectives.
