Anti state tweet case
LAHORE
District Kutchery Lahore has extended physical remand of PTI leader Falak Javed in the case related to anti state tweet and uploading inappropriate picture of provincial minister. As per media reports PTI leader Falak Javed was presented in the court on expiry of four days physical remand.
Judicial magistrate Naeem Wattoo heard the case. National Cyber Crime Investigation agency has registered case.
During the hearing of the case NCCI requested the court to extend physical remand of Falak Javed. Rana Abdul Maroof counsel for Falak Javed opposed the plea for extension in physical remand.
Counsel Abdul Maroof took the plea NCCI is doing what. FIR is based on falsehood. There are six names in FIR. I was not nominated in the case.
Counsel for Falak Javed took the plea she was arrested due to her sister Sanam Javed. NCCI involved me in false case. On first remand NCCI said about recovery of mobile. I am in jail custody since that time. I was not taken out for recovery.
The counsel further said remand of 9 days has expired. No progress has been made so far. Now physical remand of the accused cannot be given. The court should order to send the accused to jail on judicial remand.
The court reserved the judgment on the plea for granting more physical remand in respect of Falak Javed after hearing the arguments of the respondents.
Later the court extended physical remand of Falak Javed for four days.
