PIA and Pakistan Hindu Council sign MoU

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and Pakistan Hindu Council on Saturday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote religious tourism in the country.
The MoU was signed by the CEO PIA Air Marshal (Retd) Arshad Malik and Head of Pakistan Hindu Council, Dr. Ramesh Kumar at the airline’s head office in Karachi, said a statement from the PIA.
PIA and Pakistan Hindu Council will facilitate and promote religious tourism in Pakistan, according to the MoU.
PIA will provide air charter services to Hindu pilgrims from the UAE and other countries to Pakistan .
Sharing his views after signing the MoU, Dr. Ramesh Kumar appreciated the excellent services provided by PIA and Immigration authorities in Pakistan during travel of Hindu Yatrees last week to Peshawar.
He said that continuation of such services will boost religious tourism in Pakistan.
The PIA CEO said that the national flag carrier welcomes all passengers with an open heart without any differentiation on the basis of any religion.
He said people of various religions live in Pakistan and also have their revered religious sites, PIA will provide air travel facility to Hindus in Pakistan as well as abroad to their religious sites in Pakistan.
