The plea bargain application of accused in Kohistan mega financial scandal case, Muhammad Ayub has been forwarded by the Accountability Court to the Director General of NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to official sources on Sunday, Muhammad Ayub, who is a contractor by profession, had formally submitted a plea bargain request. The court, after completing the necessary proceedings, has sent the application to the NAB DG for further action.
NAB officials said that Ayub was arrested in connection with the Rs. 40 billion Kohistan corruption scandal. He is alleged to be one of the key figures involved in the massive financial irregularities.
So far, several accused have already been arrested in the case, and further investigations are underway.
