Islamabad High Court (IHC) has fixed the application for registration of the case against General (r) Qamar Javed Bajwa and General (r) Faiz Hameed on November 28 for hearing.
IHC Registrar Office has issued a cause list according to which the citizen has filed a case registration application against General (r) Bajwa and General (r) Faiz Hameed and others.
High Court has also issued notices to FIA, General Bajwa and General Faiz Hameed, Journalist Javed Chaudhry, and Shahid Maitla, PEMRA, Press Association of Pakistan on the application for registration of the case. Chief Justice Amir Farooq will hear the petition of citizen Atif Ali.
In the petition filed on behalf of the citizen, it has been requested that no action has been taken after the request to register the case to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
Javed Chaudhry and Shahid Maitla wrote two articles only for viewership which had a negative impact on the society, the articles of Javed Chaudhry and Shahid Maitla were made part of the petition, when I saw the articles, I was surprised how the mafia has polluted the society.
Under the guise of freedom of expression, criminal behavior has come to light, a case has been filed against it, the criminal act was done with the connivance of Bajwa and Faiz Hameed, FIA should take strict action.
General Bajwa and General Faiz have been found guilty of serious crime by crossing the legal barrier, tarnished by falsely and fabricatedly portraying various events.
In order to gain attention, the petition said that the negative image of the state institution was presented in the articles under the guise of journalism.
The ongoing campaign in the wake of these incidents is an attempt to create mistrust among the public and state institutions, the petition said, directing the FIA to file a case and take action.
