Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif while congratulating the first Pakistani woman mountaineer to scale up the second highest peak in the world 適2 and her family has said Samina Baig has emerged the symbol of determination, courage and valor.
PM said this in a statement on social media here Friday.
Samina Baig has proved that Pakistani women are not behind Pakistani men in the endurance sport of mountaineering he added.

PTI leader Shireen Mazari too has congratulated Samina Baig the first Pakistani woman mountaineer to climb K2.
Scaling K2 by women is once again a great deed on their part, she added.
