Interior minister Rana Sana Ullah has said the decision about appointment of army chief is decision of Prime Minister (PM) and it cannot be changed. He said this while talking to media men here Thursday. He held PM used his constitutional authority for making appointment on important posts. He went on to say PM has sent summary to President Arif Alvi in this regard. The summary is not secret communication and it is open. He held president has no power other than implementing advice. PM has made decision in respect of important appointments by taking the cabinet into confidence.
He underlined it is the authority of the government it can freeze retirement of any officer. The decision on important appointments was made in the best national interest.
He observed Imran Khan some times plays with US, some times with constitution and sometimes with cipher. Pakistan army is an organized institution. This decision is good decision and it will prove good omen for the country.
