PM directs for emergency measures to reduce electricity load-shedding: Marriyum

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has sought an emergency plan to reduce electricity load-shedding within the next 24 hours.
In a statement on Saturday night, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said the Prime Minister took stock of the entire situation in detail during a 5-hour long meeting. He was briefed on the hurdles in providing electricity to domestic and commercial consumers.
Prime Minister tasked a committee comprising of Minister for Energy, Petroleum, and Finance to present an actionable plan Pronto. He also pledged that effective implementation of the plan to gradually reduce load-shedding would be ensured. He directed the Ministers concerned to develop a balance between domestic and industrial consumption.
The Prime Minister also directed that the plan should ensure a visible decrease in electricity load-shedding for the people of Pakistan.
Meanwhile in another statement, Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum said the false narrative of foreign conspiracy has been buried forever by the National Security Council that clearly dismissed it twice.
She said Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is determined to put the national economy back on track, which was ruined by the PTI government.
Marriyum Aurangzeb asked the PTI Chief Imran Khan to wait till next year for elections.
She said the incumbent government would bring back investment in Pakistan and provide jobs to the youth.
