Prime Minister (PM) Shahbaz Sharif has said government is going to take emergency steps to solidify national economy.
He expressed these views while presiding over a high level meeting on national economy here Thursday.
He directed economic team to evolve comprehensive strategy for reforms designed for brining improvement in national economy on emergent basis. Steps be taken to allay economic woes of common man.
PM also directed to take measures on priority basis to contain inflation besides bringing improvement in overall economic situation of the country.
The finance ministry briefed the PM at length on the prevailing economic situation of the country.
The PM expressed his concern over embarrassing economic indicators.
The meeting was attended by Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal, Miftah Ismail, Marriyum Aurangzeb, Zubair Umar, Ayesha Ghaus Pasha, Tariq Mahmood Pasha, Bilal Kiani and concerned senior officials .
