PM leaves for Turkiye on two-day visit

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif accompanied by federal ministers has left for Turkiye on a two-day visit.

During his visit he will express solidarity with Turkiye on the loss of life and property caused by the disastrous earthquake.

Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan Mehmet Pacaci and Consul General Amir Ozbe saw off the Prime Minister at Lahore Airport.
During his stay in Ankara, the Prime Minister will meet President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan to personally convey heartfelt condolences on behalf of the entire Pakistani nation over the loss of precious lives and the widespread damage caused by the earthquake.
The Prime Minister will reiterate Pakistan’s firm commitment to stand by the Turkish people during these difficult times and to continue to extending all possible support to the ongoing relief effort.
The Prime Minister will also visit earthquake affected areas in southern Turkiye and interact with the Pakistani search and rescue teams deployed in the area as well as survivors of the earthquake.
PM Shahbaz Sharif had announced to visit Turkiye soon after devastating earthquake therein. However this visit was cancelled later.

PM Shahbaz Sharif had talked to President of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan on February 06 soon after the earthquake and he had assured him of every kind of help in rescue and rehabilitation activities.. .
