PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) has demanded of Prime Minister of Pakistan to take action against MQM’ chief Altaf Hussain under Article 6 for his statements ignited unrest in the country. Addressing a press conference on Monday at Peshawar Press Club, PML-Q provincial president Intikhab Chamkani said that Altaf Hussain and Farooq Sattar and their associates should leave Pakistan as they were not loyal to the country.
“Taking no action against them so far has created an expression that federal government is acting like facilitator of MQM and its chief,” He alleged.
He said that a legal action under the Article 6 (High Treason) should be taken against Altaf Hussain for hurting sentiments of the whole Pakistani nation as the country had got independence after thousands of sacrifices.
Flanked by advocate Muazzam Butt and other office-bearers of the party, Mr Chamkani maintained that that it was need of the hour to take steps for protection of ideology of the country as he alleged that conspiracies were being hatched to deprive Pakistan from development and progress. He also condemned using of force against innocent Kashmiris and asked the government to provide weapons to Kashmiris for their self-defense as they were being targeted with pellet guns by Indian troops causing deaths and fatal injuries.
However, he said that reorganization of the party across the country has been completed and preparations were being made for contesting of general elections proposed to be held in 2018.
He said that his party would support democracy in the country and would put resistance against any kind of internal threats to the incumbent government
On the occasion, Qari Saad ullah Hanfi, the provincial office bearer of APML-N formally announced joining PML-Q along with family members and friends.
