Police arrest five suspects in crackdown

PESHAWAR: Phandu Police Station on Wednesday crackdown on anti-social elements in different areas of its jurisdiction and arrested five suspects. Police during different raids in Gujjarabad, Akhunabad, Shaheedabad and Shaheen Muslim Town also recovered illegal weapons, three pistols, 2kg of drugs from the possisions of arrested persons. Waris Khan, SHO Phando Police Station stated that five persons allegedly involved in different crimes have been arrested and weapons have been recovered. He said that the accused were involved in drug trafficking and other criminal activities in the above-mentioned areas. The arrested persons have been identified as Muhammad Farooq, Ajmal, Nabi, Waqar Ali, Haroon and Diyar Khan. Police said that the accused have admitted in possession of modern automatic weapons, three pistols, more than two kilograms of hashish and heroin worth thousands of rupees. Haqnawaz Shinwari
