PESHAWAR: In a swift operation, the Shaheed Gulfat Hussain Police Station of City Division arrested three suspects involved in the murder of a citizen, Naveed, within hours of the incident. Under the supervision of SP City Division Muhammad Atiq Shah and DSP Hashtnagari Circle Imran Aslam Marwat, SHO Javed Khan and Investigation Officer Qaim Khan led the operation. The suspects, identified as Samiullah alias Buff, Imran, and Syed Mazahir Ali Shah, were arrested, and the murder weapon, a knife, was recovered. The suspects allegedly stabbed Naveed multiple times following a verbal altercation, resulting in his death. During the initial investigation, the accused confessed to their involvement. Further investigation is underway to uncover more details. The police registered a case based on a complaint filed by the victim’s brother, Ali, and formed a special team to track down the suspects.
