KARACHI : A police sub inspector has been martyred during exchange of firing between the accused and the police in police encounter in Gulistan Jauhar.
SSP Sharqi, Sajid Sadozai has said that during exchange of firing between the accused and the police a police sub inspector has been martyred in Gulistan Jouhar. The martyred police inspector has been identified as Rahim Khan. He was appointed as SHO in police station Gulistan Jauhar.
The exchange of firing is still underway on the scene and heavy contingent of police has been called.
The body of the martyred police officer was shifted to hospital. The police encounter took place with the robbers who were engaged in looting the citizens. One robber is stated to have been arrested while the second fled the scene.
