SUJAWAL: A policeman was martyred and another sustained critical injuries in an encounter that ensued near village Majeed Otho within the limits of Chuhar Jamali police station on Friday morning. According to a spokesman for the SSP office Sujawal, police received information regarding the presence of armed miscreants in village Majeed Otho. Following the tip-off, the police sprang into action, leading to an exchange of fire between the police team and the miscreants. As a result, two constables, Wajid Somro and Ghulam Mustafa Chawro, were critically injured. The injured policemen were first taken to the Basic Health Unit Chuhar Jamali and were later shifted to Civil Hospital Thatta for further treatment, where Constable Wajid Somro succumbed to his wounds.
