CHARSADDA
The national polio vaccination campaign in Charsadda has entered its fourth day, with robust security arrangements being ensured under the direct supervision of District Police Officer (DPO) Charsadda, Suleman Zafar.
The initiative aims to ensure that every child receives the life-saving polio vaccine without disruption.
DPO Suleman Zafar has been actively monitoring the performance of polio teams and security deployments in the field. Police presence has been strengthened across all union councils, sensitive areas, and major entry points of the district to maintain order and prevent any untoward incidents during the campaign.
As part of his oversight, DPO Zafar visited Nasta Police Station and the Tarlandi checkpoint to inspect the security arrangements firsthand. During the visit, he reviewed surveillance systems, including CCTV coverage, and met with the officers deployed in the field.
He praised the efforts of the Tarlandi checkpoint personnel for their effective blockade, vigilant monitoring, and efficient traffic management.
Additionally, he directed the Nesta Police Station officials to maintain close coordination with vaccination teams and foster public trust and cooperation.
The campaign continues with full momentum, as health and law enforcement authorities work together to ensure a polio-free future for the children of Charsadda.
