PPP decides to focus on Punjab before the elections

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has decided to focus all attention on Punjab province before the general elections.
According to a private TV report, former President Asif Ali Zardari and Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto will visit Lahore soon, during which the CEC meeting of Pakistan People’s Party will be held in Lahore, with the aim of activating the party in Punjab. The meeting was decided on the failure of the provincial leadership.
Sources said that Asif Ali Zardari will hold meetings with party leaders and office bearers in Lahore, in which consultations will be held on appointments to party posts in the province, strategies for public relations campaign will also be decided before the elections.
The proposal to hold a party convention during Asif Zardari’s visit to Lahore is also under consideration. Sources have said that the party leadership is deeply disappointed with the performance of the People’s Party Punjab, as it was expected that important figures from Punjab would join the PPP, but Before the election, the PPP has not achieved any major success in Punjab, the main reason of which has been attributed to the failure of the Punjab leadership to activate the party in the province.
Sources further said that the PPP officials in Punjab are suffering from mutual infighting, the party is being affected by the quarrels of the provincial officials.
The Punjab leadership still could not find a permanent president of the party in the province, due to the lack of interest of the leadership, a permanent president of the party could not be appointed in Punjab while the temporary president PP Punjab Rana Farooq Saeed failed to activate the party in the province.
