The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chapter on Monday observed the 14th death anniversary of Benazir Bhutto at the Provincial Secretariat of the party in Peshawar.
Syed Tahir Abbas, Anwar Zeb Comrade, Syed Ayub Shah, Misbah-ud-Din, Ghani Gul Mehsud, Farzand Ali Khan Wazir, Tala Muhammad and other officials and workers addressed on the occasion and highlighted the scarifies of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto for the country.
Speakers said that Benazir Bhutto was martyred on December 27, 2007 at Liaquat Bagh, Rawalpindi.
Speakers said that Benazir Bhutto spent her entire life promoting and nurturing democracy and supporting her father Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto’s vision.
They said that democracy in the country was due to the sacrifices of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto.
She has tarnished the image of the Charter of Democracy in the country and today democracy is established in the country as a result of her sacrifices and struggle, they added.
She said that the daughter of a martyr played a significant role in the development and prosperity of this country and took many revolutionary steps.
