PPP-KP observes 15th death anniversary of Qamar Abbas

Pakistan People Party (PPP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) chapter on Saturday observed the 15th death anniversary of Shaheed Qamar Abbas.
Shaheed Qamar Abbas was among the founding members of PPP and a close associate of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. He was shot dead on May 6, 2007 when he was going on a motorcycle near the Hashtnagri Chowk in Peshawar.
The anniversary was held at the provincial secretariat of PPP in Peshawar which was attended by the former provincial president Muhammad Humayun Khan, Syed Zahir Ali Shah, provincial senior vice president Ayub Shah Members of Central Executive Committee including Azam Khan Afridi, Tahir Abbas, Saleem Khan, Liaquat Shabab, Anwar Zeb Comrade, Yawar Naseer, Shah Zulqarnain, Tala Muhammad, Zulfiqar Afghani, Zulfiqar Awan, Tariq Rahim and other founding members.
Speakers on the occasion shed lights on the services rendered by Shaheed Qamar Abbas.
Former provincial president Shaheed Qamar Abbas was an ideological political activist and selfless activist of the party.
They said that Shaheed Qamar Abbas always practiced ideological politics and raised his voice for the rights of the people.
Humayun Khan said that Qamar Abbas was one of those who faced the dictatorial era of dictatorship.
His services as the party’s provincial president and provincial minister were significant, he added.
In their separate speeches PPP leaders said that Shaheed Qamar Abbas Jayala was the activist president. They paid great tribute to the great services rendered to the people of the area. His loss is still felt today, they added.
