Islamabad: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Secretary General Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari said Friday that the PPP Working Committee has taken important decisions regarding matters pertaining to national interest and dire situation of the country. In a statement on Friday, the PPP Secretary General said that not compromising on national security and stability and standing by the side of the people was his party’s history. He said that his party would strongly oppose the slavish mini-budget in the parliament. ONLINE
“The party will also set up protest camps outside the parliament against the external control and anti-people mini-budget.” He added. Nayyar said that PPP will also invite other opposition parties to its anti-budget protest camp. He said that the Islamabad Long March which will sart from Mazar-e-Quaid on February 27 would end with ‘country’s liberation from the most corrupt rulers’.
FIA recovers illegally occupied ETPB’s land
Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), while taking action against the illegal occupation of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) land, has recovered land worth three and a half billion rupees. According to well-placed sources, it is said that the land was seized in 2012 and an industrial warehouse was set up and it was illegally commercialized. The FIA said that the value of 27 kanals of land was about 2.70 billion rupees. ONLINE
Indian troops martyr three Kashmiri youth in Budgam
Srinagar: In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred three Kashmiri youth in Budgam district, Friday. The youth were martyred by Indian troops and paramilitary forces during a cordon and search operation in Chadoora area of the district. The operation was going on till last reports came in. Meanwhile, Indian troops arrested four youth during the cordon and search operation in downtown area of Srinagar city. ONLINE
