The leadership of the Pakistan Romania Business Council (PRBC), led by Sohail Shamim Firpo, Chairman PRBC, along with Atif Farooqi, Advisor & COO PRBC, held a high-level meeting with Rear Admiral (Rtd.) Fred Seneviratne, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Pakistan.
The meeting focused on exploring avenues to enhance bilateral cooperation and promote trilateral trade and investment linkages among Pakistan, Romania, and Sri Lanka.
Discussions centered on identifying new opportunities in trade facilitation, investment collaboration, and sector-specific partnerships, with particular emphasis on strengthening business-to-business engagement across the three countries. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to fostering sustainable economic growth through enhanced private-sector collaboration and improved regional connectivity.
Speaking on the occasion, Atif Farooqi, Advisor & COO PRBC, stated: “The dedicated efforts of Sri Lanka’s Consul General in Karachi, P.K. Sanjeewa Pattiwila, who has effectively taken on a proactive trade facilitation role are highly commendable. His consistent engagement has played a pivotal role in deepening commercial understanding and unlocking new avenues of cooperation among our countries.”
