BAJAUR: An important meeting held here on Friday with the Deputy Commissioner Shahid Ali Khan in the chair, reviewed preparations for the upcoming National Immunization Days (NID) anti-polio campaign. The meeting reviewed the final strategy for the campaign scheduled to begin on October 13. An official statement stated that the meeting was attended by officials from the district administration, health department, relevant line departments, and members of the District Emergency Operations Centre (DEOC). Immunization Officer WHO, Dr. Fida Muhammad, gave a detailed briefing on the campaign’s preparations. DC Shahid Ali Khan emphasized that all available resources must be mobilized to ensure the campaign’s success. He directed the health department to provide quality training and full logistical support to polio teams, while also instructing the police and related agencies to devise a comprehensive security plan.
