Preparations for free, fair and impartial election are complete: DC Badin

The code of conduct issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan for the general elections is being fully implemented and the strict legal action will be taken against those who violate the code of conduct in district. These views were expressed by District Returning Officer (DRO) and Deputy Commissioner Badin, Abdul Fatah Hulio in a meeting held at Darbar Hall in connection with to review the preparations for the general elections to be held on February 8.
DRO said that 693 polling stations have been fixed for two national and five provincial seats in Badin district, including 159 normal, 288 sensitive and 246 highly sensitive polling stations saying that CCTV cameras will also be installed at the most sensitive polling stations of district Badin. In the meeting, SSP Badin Mir Ruhal Khoso while giving a briefing said that the security plan of police for the general elections is finalized where more than five thousand police personnel will be deployed for their duties in the election.
4 policemen will be deployed at normal polling station, 5 to 6 policemen at sensitive polling station and 7 to 8 policemen at highly sensitive polling station.
Apart from this, response teams have also been formed and they will reach the respective polling station within 10 minutes in case of any untoward incident.
District Election Commissioner Muhammad Hanif has said that in the first phase of training, the training of Assistant Presiding Officer and Polling Officer has been completed, while in the second phase of training, the training of Presiding Officer and Senior Presiding Officers is underway.
Additional Deputy Commissioner-I, Javed Ahmed Dahri, Additional Deputy Commissioner-II, Muhammad Nawaz Kalwar, District Information Officer Sarfraz Samoon were present in the meeting when DSR 32 Wing Rangers, all District Assistant Commissioners, ROs, AROs and officers of concerned departments were also present.
