President Alvi accepts resignation of KP Governor

President Arif Alvi has accepted the resignation of KP Governor Shah Farman. Governor KP had tendered his resignation after the election of Shehbaz Sharif as Prime Minister of Pakistan. Shah Farman took oath as the 32nd Governor of KP on Dec 5, 2018. He remained governor for three years and seven months. According to the K-P governor house spokesperson, Farman’s family has vacated the official residence. KP Assembly Speaker Mushtaq Ghani has now become acting governor of the province whereas Deputy Speaker Mahmood Jan is now the speaker of the KP assembly.

It is pertinent to mention here that Balochistan Governor Zahoor Ahmed Agha and Sindh Governor Imran Ismail also resigned from office following PM’s election.
