President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned joint session of the both the houses of the parliament today (Friday). The president has summoned joint session of parliament under clause (1) of article 54 of the constitution of Pakistan at 11 a.m on January 23 Friday. According to National Assembly (NA) secretariat formal notification in connection with the session has been issued. Members of NA and Senate will participate in the session.
The details of the agenda of the session will be issued later.
This step has been taken under the powers of the president to summon joint session of parliament.
