President Arif Alvi has summoned National Assembly (NA) scheduled session at 1700 hours on January 16 in parliament house. This session has been summoned under article 54 of the constitution which is likely to last 2 weeks. President has summoned Senate today (Friday). NA sources said the session summoned by president is as per schedule. Prime Minister (PM) had sent advice to president in this regard through ministry of parliamentary affairs. The routine agenda will be disposed of in the session. Several bills will be presented for legislation.
Reports of different standing committees will also be presented in the house. The NA will also hold debate on escalating inflation and other matters of public interest.
