Prize money was given to the players of the winning team of Prime Minister Youth Program Talent Hunt Sindh Regional Men’s and Women’s Sports Hockey League, Karachi’s boys and girls team in a grand and dignified ceremony, held at Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) that was attended by Sports Consultant SSUET, Olympian Hanif Khan, Director Sports International SSUET, Mubashir Mukhtar, Farooq Khan, Laeeq Lashari, Javed Iqbal and Numanuddin. Registrar SSUET, Commodore (R) Syed Sarfraz Ali gave prize money to the players of both teams.
Registrar SSUET, Commodore (R) Syed Sarfraz Ali said that Sir Syed University is becoming a trusted name for sports and sportsmen.
Sir Syed University awards scholarships to talented players for their outstanding performance, while more than 10 sports teams regularly participate in HEC events.
In recent years, Sir Syed University has been acknowledged for hosting different HEC events excellently for which I congratulate Director Sports SSUET, Mubashir Mukhtar, and his team.
On the occasion, Olympian Hanif Khan said that Sir Syed University is effectively working for the development of national sports.
Sir Syed University is known for sports promotion and is revered for hosting grand sports events. The successful event of hockey in the Prime Minister Program Youth League is the latest example.
Later, Registrar SSUET, Commodore (R) Syed Sarfraz Ali gave the prize money to the players of the league’s winning girls’ and boys’ teams.
It should be noted that Afzal Hameed, CEO of Aimal Builders and Developers, had announced to give prize money to the winning teams of boys and girls of the Sindh Regional League.
