Protest against ‘corruption’ in computerized land record centre

MARDAN(INP): Dozens of land owners of Mardan here on Friday staged a protest outside Mardan Press Club against the alleged corruption and mismanagement in the computerized land record service delivery centre Mardan. The protest was led by Shaukat Ali, Ali Khan, Mohammad Ali, Tariq Khan, Kamran Khan, Khan Zeb and others.
Protesters said to facilitate the masses of Mardan the provincial government has computerized the land record. They added that instead of facilitating the people who are visiting the land computerized delivery office they are facing a lot of problems.
They added that early in the morning they visited the delivery centre the employees performing duty in the delivery system told them that the system is out of order. They added that if after a long struggle a person get token then the employees without number provide “fard” to the blue-eyed people.
They added that touts system is continued in the delivery center and touts are wandering in and outside the office and receiving extra money from the people and provide them “fard” and other documents while the people who get token standing outside the office all the day.
