PESHAWAR: The dissident members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf hate Sunday openly criticized their own provincial government during the assembly session, raising strong objections on the supplementary budget. Member of the Provincial Assembly Sajjad Barakwal, while addressing the house, expressed serious reservations over the allocation of additional funds in the supplementary budget and claimed that the Rs. 121 billion supplementary budget as a robbery of the treasury. Sajjad Barakwal demanded that a formal judicial inquiry be conducted into the figures presented in the supplementary budget so that the facts could be brought to light. “We will pass the budget, but we do not accept it. Is we continue to be blackmailed in the name of Khan Sahib all the time? Should we be made to do the wrong things in the name of Khan Sahib’s vision?” He claimed that we do not accept KP budget under any circumstances. If the government fails to take action on this matter, we will continue to pursue it.” “Not everything introduced in the name of Khan Sahib can be accepted blindly. Has Khan Sahib ever given us permission to do wrong?” The MPA also urged the Speaker to establish a special committee of the provincial assembly to investigate the matter and ensure a transparent inquiry.
