PTI govt to be in power beyond 2023: Fawad

Information Minister Fawad Choudhry on Sunday announced that owing to current situation in the country where major political party like People’s Party has shrunk to regional party and claimed PTI will also be re-elected in next general elections to rule beyond 2023.
He claimed PTI is the only political party that can file maximum number of candidates to contest forthcoming general elections from every province.
Addressing members of the Lahore Press Club after performing Health Cards distribution ceremony among the journalists today, the Information Minister hit hard on former govt headed Mian Nawaz Sharif, who he said, was enjoying lavish life in expensive mansion in UK while Pakistan is buried under huge economic burden.
Referring the current economic scenario in the country, Fawad Choudhury maintained that Prime Minister Imran Khan was battling hard to pull out Pakistan from economic quagmire.
He further pointed out that due to irrational economic policies country suffered huge power and Gas shortage for which he blamed former Prime Minister Khaqan Abbasi for improper handling of Gas distribution in the country.
To a question from the audience on registration of cases against certain owners of newspapers for denying wages to workers for long time, the Minister clarified there did not exist law to redress the problem.
To a question about granting 0.5 Million Qarze Has to local journalists, the Minister said same would be granted to journalists on theb recommendations of respective Press Clubs.
Information Minister further announced that PTI govt has also decided to include journalists in its Housing Program so that residential problems of media men are esolved on priority basis.
Later, the Information Minister also felicitated newly-elected members of the LPC. Fawad Choudhry also distributed Health Cards among newly elected members of LPC.
