PTI leader Asad Umar has said it is mentioned in the constitution election should be held.
” it is laid down in the constitution should be held. PTI is fully prepared to contest election. Our party is ready to participate in election whenever they are announced.
To a question from a journalist on the occasion of his appearance in District and Sessions Court Islamabad that he will contest election on PTI ticket or on the ticket of some other party, he said if ticket is awarded to him he will contest election at every cost.
Ambiguity was left in Asad Umar reply that ticket means ticket of PTI or from some party other than PTI.
He held it is enshrined in the constitution that election should take place. Our party is ready whenever elections are announced. Be it AJK election or Karachi mayor’s election reservations are there on all. All parties have expressed reservations.
He went on to say if the election commission does not pave the way for transparent election then what problems were faced in the past will be faced in future as well. People will say after election that rigging has been committed.
Asad Umar appeared in the district and sessions court Islamabad in connection with case registered against him in Margalla police station.
The court ordered hearing will take place in respect of PTI chairman cases
in Judicial Complex (JC) and you should also appear therein.
The court directed Asad Umar and other accused persons to appear in JC.
