Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations, Shafi Jan, has strongly criticized the PML-N leadership, accusing federal and Punjab ministers of holding continuous press conferences out of fear of PTI founding chairman Imran Khan.
Addressing recent allegations by Punjab Minister Uzma Bukhari and Parliamentary Secretary Daniyal Chaudhry, Shafi Jan said the leadership and workers of PTI were subjected to political revenge through the fake cases related to the May 9 events.
He added that the nation has already given its mandate to Imran Khan in the general elections, which was why the PML-N continues to politicize May 9.
He urged the federal government to establish a judicial commission to investigate the events of May 9 for transparency.
Shafi Jan highlighted the PTI’s achievements, saying that the party still enjoys public trust due to good governance and practical performance.
“During Imran Khan’s rule, industries were revived and the economy was on a path of growth. Unfortunately, after his removal, the group imposed on the federation has brought the economy to the brink of collapse,” he said.
He further accused the PML-N of attacking the Supreme Court in the past and undermining the Constitution through recent amendments.
Criticizing Uzma Bukhari, Shafi Jan alleged that she was complicit in the federal government’s corruption amounting to Rs 5,300 billion.
He added that the current economic collapse was the result of collusion by the corrupt group in power at the federal and Punjab levels, while informal ties with India’s Modi government have also harmed national interests.
Shafi Jan accused PML-N leaders of hypocrisy, stating that those exposed in IMF reports were lecturing the nation on transparency.
