Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq has said that during its eight months rule, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had pushed the country eight years backwards instead of taking it forward.
Addressing the Pakistani community in holy Makkah on Saturday, Sirajul Haq said that instead of bringing about a change, the PTI had brought record price hike. He said the State Bank report had exposed the government claims. Besides getting loans from abroad, the government was securing loans from within the country, he added.

During the last eight months, the government had secured loans totaling 3300 billion rupees and the price hike had touched all time high, he said adding that the government could not hide its incompetence by blaming the past rulers for loot and plunder.

The JI chief said that the government did not have any plan for economic improvement and the titanic of the economy was sinking.

Sirajul Haq said that POL prices in the world market were falling whereas the government was raising the prices of POL and gas.
