PTI has withdrawn contempt of court petition against Chief Election Commissioner (CEC).
The hearing with regard to local bodies election took place in Islamabad High Court (IHC) Saturday.
The registrar had raised objection over contempt of court plea against the head of a constitutional institution. Later PTI withdrew the contempt of court plea against election commissioner.
IHC registrar had said in his objection how can contempt of court plea be filed against CEC who is holding constitutional office.
On December 30 IHC had ordered election commission to hold Local Bodies Election in Islamabad on December 31.
Contrary to IHC orders, the election commission had regretted to hold LB polls in Islamabad on December 31.
