MARDAN
Hundreds of workers and activists of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) staged a rally to express solidarity with the party chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan’s Haqeeqi Azadi March in college chowk Mardan on Wednesday.
The provincial minister for food, science and Information Technology Muhammad Atif Khan while addressing the rally said that the ‘tigers’ of the party will mobilize whole nation to take part in its party’s Haqeeqi Azadi March, saying party workers and supporters would not hesitate to render any sacrifice to achieve the real goal of the march.
He said that the nation was anxiously waiting for the call of its capitan (Imran Khan) to march on Islamabad and oust the incumbent government.
The provincial minister organized the rally in connection with PTI’s long march, which was also addressed by former governor KP Shah Farman, provincial president of the party and former chief minister Pervez Khattak, minister for education Shahram Khan Tarkai, former MNA Ali Mohammad Khan, and other party local leaders from the district.
Atif Khan said that PTI chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan could only save the country from being subservient to foreign countries, adding that all preparations have been completed for the real freedom march announced by its party chairman.
Addressing the rally, provincial education minister Shahram Khan said “we are ready to make all kinds of sacrifices to achieve real true freedom. Imran Khan is waging jihad against all oppressors”.
Imran Khan is demanding fresh elections as the only solution to the prevailing financial and political crisis in the country, he added and said without holding the early and transparent polls, the country could not be steered out of the present mess.
Addressing the rally, former defense minister Pervez Khan Khattak said that the whole country was ready for the long march with Imran Khan. The enthusiasm of the people is unmatchable and unprecedented.
Former governor KP Shah Farman said that the brave people of Mardan district had shown great love for their leader Imran Khan in the by-elections, who gave their leader victory with a huge majority.
He said that the people of the entire country are with Imran Khan, who is neither afraid nor retreating.
Ali Muhammad Khan claimed that PTI government was removed by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) through a foreign conspiracy, adding that the graph of the party chairman popularity increased even after being ousted from power in the country.
“We are quite sure that Imran Khan will bag majority seats in the upcoming general elections and will again form government in the centre with clear majority,” he added.
