Punjab cabinet approves Rs32,000 minimum salary for labourer

ISLAMABAD: The Punjab cabinet has approved Rs32,000 minimum salary for a labourer in the province. For the first time in the provincial history, the meeting of the Punjab cabinet was held in Multan on Monday. A 39-point agenda was presented in the meeting. Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Raza Naqvi was given briefing on the development projects and road infrastructure projects in South Punjab. The cabinet approved the minimum salary of a labourer at Rs32,000 directing the authorities to implement the order. During the meeting, the agenda of the vice chancellor of Pir Mehr Ali Shah Agriculture University, Rawalpindi was presented. Besides this, names of the recipients of the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medals and Presidential Police Medals were suggested.
