LAHORE: Punjab government has released funds for diesel subsidy project. Finance department has released funds of Rs 1.60 billion for farmer card holders. According to press release the farmers holding upto 25 acres land and cultivating wheat are entitled to subsidy. Rs 150 per liter subsidy on 10 litters diesel per acre will be provided . Registered cultivators holding Kissan card will be entitled to subsidy. Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz had announced to give relief to farmers in view of hike in the prices of petroleum products. Under government policy subsidy will be provided to farmers. Subsidy on diesel will be provided only to registered farmers. ONLINE
