LAHORE: After two months of new education years, Punjab government has failed to recruit contract based teacher for government colleges. CM Ch Pervaiz Elahi’s lake of interest in this issue is the reason told by sources. Sources revealed that government colleges are facing shortage of teachers in this new education year which has begun two months back. Punjab province including its capital Lahore is facing 6000 teachers’ shortage in 8000 government colleges for which Higher Education Commission (HEC) recruits contract based teachers. This year HEC has decided to recruit 4000 teachers but after two months they are waiting for Chief Minister’s approval due to which the issue is facing unnecessary delay. Online
