LAHORE: The Punjab police have decided to create a tourism force in the provincial police department for security and guidance of the foreign tourists. Inspector General (IG) of Police also has given approval for creating the new force in police department. Reportedly, the tourists arriving at the airport will be briefed by the tourism force about the tourist places of Punjab. In this regard, special counters will be created at three airports of the province including Lahore while male and female staff will be posted on such counters. The Tourism Force along with Tourism Department will also update records of tourist places including hotels and restaurants. DNA
