Punjab government will present its budget for the financial year 2025-26 on June 13.
No new tax is likely to be imposed in the budget.
Rs 110 billion will be allocated more than the previous year in the budge under the head of education and Rs 90 billion more than the previous budget under head of health.
14 hospitals will be constructed in Nawaz Sharif medical city. The work will be carried out under private-public partnership in Nawaz Sharif medical city. Clean water scheme is being launched in Punjab. Special focus has been placed on eduction, health and tourism.
Provincial minister Rana Sikandar Hayat said Rs 110 billion will be earmarked for education in the budget. Punjab budget will be presented on June 13, he added.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz will announce scholarships for 5000 students of other provinces after Eid.
Sindh budget will be presented on June 13.
