A pylon of high tension line, erected to supply power from Tajikistan to Pakistan was demolished when an unknown miscreant detonated it with explosive here Aka Khel area of subdivision Bara, district Khyber last night.
Station House Officer(SHO) Bara police station,Swalzer Khan Afridi while confirming the incident that last night undisclosed troublemakers installed an explosive device to two feet of the tower that exploded with a big bang demolished it.
Immediately after the happen, the police and Counter Terrorist Department (CTD) teams rushed to the spot and collected evidence for investigation, the official said.
District Police Officer (DPO) Khyber Muhammad Imran said that the police initiated investigation and strict action will be taken against those found guilty, the official said.
It is worth mentioning here that a high tension power supply project has been launched in the area according to which electricity will be brought to Pakistan from Tajikistan via Western border.
