Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Livestock, Fisheries, and Cooperative Societies, Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai, emphasized the importance of providing quality feed for optimal animal growth.
He shared that the provincial cabinet has approved Feed Act to curb substandard animal feed use in the province, adding that Act to be presented in Provincial Assembly for approval very soon.
The legislation aimed at promoting healthy animal growth and enhancing the livestock sector by prioritizing quality feed and curbing substandard practices, he said.
He expressed these views in a Seminar organized in Peshawar with the joint cooperation of Center of Animal Nutrition, Livestock and Dairy Development Research and Dairy Lake Pakistan at Veterinary Research Institute Peshawar regarding the efforts to deal with the nutritional needs of animals and the challenges of modern times.
Provincial Minister for Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperative Societies Fazal Hakeem Khan participated in the seminar as a chief guest. Members of Provincial Assembly Akhtar Ali Khan Advocate, Sutan Room, Secretary Livestock Muhammad Fakhr Alam, Dr. Muhammad Ijaz Ali Director General Livestock and Dairy Development (Research), Dr. Asal Khan Director General Livestock (Extension) and Dr. Khalid Khan Principal Veterinary research institute Peshawar were present in the seminar.
Research Officer and co-host of the seminar, Dairy Lake Pakistan Director Marketing Hamad Khan Tareen, Dr. Muneeb, Technical Director Dr. Maham, Regional Marketing Manager Dr. Owais and Provincial Technical Manager Kamran Khan participated in the seminar.
The aim of the seminar was to inform the farmers of the dairy and livestock sector about the steps taken by the government to provide access to various services to the livestock farmers and the products with the best nutrients.
Among the participants of the seminar, farmers , corporate sector, university professors of dairy and livestock sector, doctors and business professionals associated with this sector participated in large numbers.
The participants of the seminar elaborated on the importance of optimal and high quality modern nutrients in increasing the productivity of animals.
The participants enlightened the cattle breeders in detail about the properties of Dairy Lake Pakistan’s advanced feed compounds to increase the productivity of animals. Emphasis was placed on access to and use of modern feed compounds in animals.
The representatives of Dairy Lake Pakistan had a detailed discussion with the participants of the seminar on the availability of their products and their specifications.
