PESHAWAR
The provincial chairman of Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) Sikandar Hayat Khan Sherpao has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan has lost the majority in the National Assembly and therefore he should resign from his post.
Sikandar Sherpao said that Imran Khan has been attempting to create unrest and constitutional crisis in the country in order to delay the process of no-confidence motion submitted by opposition in the National Assembly against him.
He said this while addressing an event organized in connection with Rabiullah Allah Khan, vice president of PTI Tiger Force UAE, defection to QWP here on Thursday.
Sikandir Sherpao said that if Imran Khan did not resign or face no-confidence motion in a democratic manner, anarchy would spread in the country.
He also demanded the Speaker of the Assembly to play his constitutional role and said that he should refrain from showing partiality in this situation.
The political parties will also have a heavy responsibility to carry out electoral reforms in the country, he said, that the Prime Minister should accepted the reality and face the opposition No-Confidence Vote in the National Assembly.
He said that Imran Khan had promised to give priority to suicide instead of taking loans before coming to power.
Neither one crores jobs have been created nor 5 million houses are visible, he added.
Mr Sikandir criticized the PTI government and said that prices of medicines have gone up sharply in the last three-and-a-half years and deprivations of small provinces have gone up.
No significant steps were taken to obtain gas and oil royalties. He said that poor performance has made the people suspicious of PTI, he added.
QWP KP Chairman said that the previous governments did not take as much loan in 70 years as the PTI government took in the last four years.
Apart from leaders Farmanullah Khan and Ghafoor Khan, party officials and workers were also present.
