A rally was held in Landi Kotal on Monday in support of armed forces in the wake of Indian threat to attack Pakistan.
The participants vowed that if Indians indulged in any adventurism under the guise of Palhegam attack, they would stand shoulder by shoulder with the armed forces to defend the country.
People from different walks of life attended the rally, which started from tehsil entrance, marched through the main bazaar and assembled at Bacha Khan Chowk.
The marchers holding placards, raised anti-India and pro-forces slogans.
Speaking on the occasion Deputy Tehsil Chairman Haji Wali Muhammad, Malik Khalid Khan Afridi, President Anjuman-e-Tajeran, Landi Kotal Bazaar Yad Wazir Shinwari, General Secretary Khyber Sports Club Kaleemullah Shinwari, local leader of Pakistan Muslim League, Nawaz (PML-N)Sajid Ali Afridi,Haji Sher and others said that they were united to thwart Indian aggression and to give a tit for tat response.
“The nation is ready to shed blood to teach a lesson to Indian forces”, they remarked.
They maintained that Pakistan was always a touch bearer to keep peace in the area but if war was forcibly imposed on it the Pak army was capable enough to give a befitting response.
In previous aggressions from India, the tribesmen and forces jointly granted a crushing bow to the enemy they added and said in this time of need, the former would never hesitate to lay down their lives for the sake of their motherland.
The participants chanted full throat slogans like “Down with India”, “Long Live Pakistan” and ended peacefully.
