LARKANA : At least one Rangers official was killed and four other Rangers among 13 people injured in a bomb blast here on Saturday.
According to Rangers sources, a vehicle of the Rangers was attacked with a hand grenade at Mirokhan chowk near central jail. At least five Rangers officials were injured in the explosion. One Rangers official succumbed to his injuries in hospital. The injured were shifted to Chandeka Medical college hospital. According to some reports nine passersby were also injured in the explosion.INP reported
The police and Rangers rushed to the blast site and cordoned off the area. The Rangers carried out search operation in the area and arrested two suspects who were shifted to undisclosed location for investigation.
Meanwhile, the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan and the new Sindh chief minister Syed Murad Ali Shah have strongly condemned the blast and directed the police officials to arrest the suspects at earliest.
