Former Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed has been summoned by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) in a graft case worth millions of rupees, local media reported Thursday.
According to media report, Rasheed has been charged of misappropriating fee sold out to a private housing scheme in Islamabad. He has been directed to appear before the Lahore ACE Head Office along with the record on July 15. The ACE has also summoned the relevant society administration for investigations.
Reacting to the summons, Sheikh Rasheed said that this land has been in his possession for the last 50-60 years. “The ACE has summoned me. Let’s see what they say. I could not understand what allegation he faces,” he added.
