RAWALPINDI: On the directions of the Director General, Rawalpindi Development Authority, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa, the Enforcement Squad RDA has carried out an operation against unauthorized / illegal under construction commercial construction and sealed building on Kallar Syedan road opposite to PSO petrol pump in Moza Panjgran, Rawalpindi, RDA spokesman said. He said that the Enforcement Squad RDA including Deputy Director Building Control, incharge / Assistant Director Building Control, Building Inspectors and others with the assistance of the Police from the concerned Police Station Rawat carried out the operation under section 39 of the Punjab Development of Cities (PDC) Act 1976 against illegal commercial construction and sealed above mentioned commercial building. RDA spokesman said that taking legal action previously notices were issued to the owners of this property namely Mr. Munir and Mr. Jumma Khan. DNA
He said that the owner of the above-mentioned sealed property has violated approved plans / maps and violated the PDC Act 1976 and RDA Building and Zoning Regulations 2020 and constructed illegal commercial buildings without approval and No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
He said that the DG RDA has directed the Land Use and Building Control (LU&BC) Wing to take strict action against encroachments, illegal and unauthorized constructions and commercial activities without any fear and favour.
He said that the DG RDA, Muhammad Saif Anwar Jappa has also directed the Building Control Wing to conduct a survey regarding fees and charges for approval of illegal residential and commercial buildings, commercialization, complementary maps, plans of buildings and regularize all illegal residential cum commercial buildings in the controlled area of RDA.
The general public should also show moral responsibility and remove every type of encroachment as much as they can, so that they could avoid any further loss, he added.
