Punjab Governor Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman has said that it is our duty to help the flood victims in this challenging time.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif himself is reaching all the flood effected areas.
Prime Minister is determined that he will not rest till the complete rehabilitation of the flood victims .
Former Provincial Minister Imran Nazir, MPA Sambal Malik and General secretary PML-N Women`s Wing Kanwal Pervez called on the governor Punjab.
During the meeting the flood situation in the country and women empowerment were discussed.
On this occasion, Governor Punjab said that it is everyone`s duty to help the flood victims in this difficult time.
The Prime Minister is forging coordinated effort by taking along with him all national institutions, Especially NDMA, PTMA, Pakistan Army, Provincial Government ,Pakistan Red Crescent, provincial Hillal e Ahmar.
The Governor House of Punjab has also supported the Prime Minister in this great effort side by side and has sent cash and relief goods worth more than 1000 million with the support of philanthropists.
He reiterated his resolve to continue these efforts. . This difficult time is a test for all of us and we have to play a full role in it. A relief camp has also been set up outside the governor`s house for the flood victims.
He said that the people are requested to play their role in collection of relief material and funds according to their own standards.
The vice chancellors and faculty member of the universities have been also instructed to collect relief goods and funds for the flood victims, I am also monitoring flood relief campaign in universities.
PML-N believes in empowerment of women. The first women`s university was established in the previous era of the Muslim league. Later most of the women`s universities in the country were established during the PML-N regime so that the daughters of the country could play their role in the development of the country by getting higher education. Imran Nazir said that it is a good move by the Governor House to send relief material to the flood victims. The governor of Punjab will stand by his side in this effort.
