Relief goods handed over to Afghan officials


Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan on humanitarian basis donated relief goods loaded in 10 trucks to Afghan authorities at Torkham border on Saturday.
Vice President of Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan Khalid Waqas and in-charge of Afghan Relief said on the occasion that 1411 tons of relief goods through 167 trucks have been donated so far for the flood hit provinces of Afghanistan.
The goods consisted of food packages, medicines and other relief items, he added.
General Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (JI-KP) Abdul Wasi, Haji Hassan Khan Shinwari, Local Chairman Haji Abdul Rauf Shinwari, Haji Muqtadar Khan and Provincial Spokesperson of Al-Khidmat Foundation Noorul Wahid Jadoon were also present on the occasion.
Pak-Afghan Cooperation Forum Speaking to the media on the occasion lauded the role of Al-Khidmat Foundation Pakistan and termed the imitative as the best example of Islamic brotherhood for the deserving families of Afghanistan. The relief goods would be distributed among those families who had suffered from the flood in Afghanistan, they said.
Senior officials of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan thanked Al-Khidmat Foundation, Government of Pakistan and Pak-Afghan Cooperation Forum organizers and hoped that cooperation with the poverty stricken people of Afghanistan would continue in the future.
